Below you will find information that might help you understand how to find things or learn about information you might need to know about your city or town.

You must appear at all court hearings including your arraignment or it may result in a warrant being issued for your arrest and incurring additional charges. If you have civil charges and fail to appear, your driving privileges may be suspended, and you may incur additional fees. You may either file a written motion to continue a court date or come in during the courts' regular business hours and request a motion to submit to the judge.

Changes of court dates will not be handled over the phone. Please contact the court prior to your court date if you need to reschedule your arraignment. All requests for continuances must be made in writing no later than five days prior to the scheduled hearing. Requests are not granted automatically, it is your responsibility to find out if your request has been granted or not.

You can contact the court to see if there are any outstanding warrants against you.

Your arraignment court date is listed on your citation or release paperwork. All subsequent court hearings are provided to you in writing at a hearing. If you have any questions about your court date, please contact the court at (928) 341-8595.
If you wish to speak to a judge about your or someone else’s case, you may only do so at a scheduled hearing, the judges are not allowed to speak to you otherwise. You may write a letter/motion to the judge, but the letter will become part of the court file and will be part of the public record. When submitting correspondence to the court, please include name, date of birth, mailing address, phone number and case or complaint number. Clearly state what is being requested of the court.
Please allow at least 10 days from the date the ticket is issued for the officer to file the citation with the court. Please call the court at (928) 341-8595 for specific information.
Only the Prosecutor can request that charges be dropped against someone. You may contact the City Prosecutors Office at (928) 341-8598.
Your request must be put into writing and there will be a research fee of $17.00 that will need to be paid before the court can begin the research (A.R.S. 22-404B). The court will then research the court documents/records for your request. See the Records Request tab on the home page.
An abstract is the paperwork the court provides to the Motor Vehicle Department that lifts the request to suspend the driver's license. An abstract is produced when all sanctions/fines/fees are paid in full. Abstracts are valid only from the specific court that requested the hold to be placed on the driver's license. San Luis Municipal Court can only issue an abstract on cases filed in San Luis Municipal Court. You may obtain an abstract from the court to take to MVD for immediate clearance or the court will send an abstract to MVD through our normal course of business.
The San Luis Municipal Court is located at 767 N. William Brooks Avenue San Luis, AZ 85349. Our building is across the street from Arco and Chevron, diagonal from Triple B. We are next door to the City Prosecutor’s Office.
