Operation Paw Promise

Operation Paw Promise is an initiative led by the City of San Luis Animal Control aimed at promoting responsible pet ownership and raising awareness about animal welfare. This campaign focuses on educating and informing residents about the importance of preventing animal cruelty, as well as sharing helpful tips and resources to ensure the proper care and well-being of all pets in our community.

Objectives 

The primary objectives of the Operation Paw Promise initiative are to: 

  • Promote Responsible Pet Ownership
    Educate residents on proper pet care, including nutrition, vaccinations, spaying/neutering, and the importance of providing safe and healthy living conditions for all animals.
  • Raise Awareness About Animal Cruelty Prevention
    Inform the community about recognizing, reporting, and preventing acts of neglect or cruelty to ensure the protection and welfare of pets in San Luis.
  • Encourage Community Involvement and Compassion
    Inspire residents to actively participate in animal welfare initiatives, support local shelters (Yuma Humane Society), and foster a culture of kindness and respect toward animals throughout the community.
