Road Work: Intersection Main St. & B St.

Update (4/28/2026):
The City of San Luis Public Works Department will be closing the north lane on B St between Williams Brooks Ave and Main St on Wednesday, April 29, 2026. This closure will affect vehicles traveling westbound. The south lane will remain open for eastbound traffic.
“Street Closed” and “Local Traffic Only” signs will be posted to allow access to Chase Bank via the B St entrance. Vehicles traveling westbound on B St will be detoured.

The City of San Luis Public Works Department will begin work at Main St. and Ave. B in preparation for the installation of a new traffic signal including roadway improvement. Site preparation is scheduled to take place starting Monday, April 27, 2026, through Tuesday, June 30, 2026. Work will be conducted on weekdays between 5:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. No anticipated roadway closures at this time. Roadways and Pedestrian crosswalks will remain open. We ask all drivers and commuters to follow and observe all traffic control.
Please plan ahead:
Expect possible traffic delays.
Follow posted traffic control signs.
Reduce speed in construction zones.
Allow extra travel time.
If using residential streets as detours, please respect speed limits and watch for pedestrians.
