San Luis, Arizona — The City of San Luis has been awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting by the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) of the United States and Canada for its Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR) for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2022. The City of San Luis has achieved this recognition since 2013. This will be the 10th consecutive year it has been received.
The Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in governmental accounting and financial reporting, and its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by a city government and its management.
“Our highly dedicated finance department has outdone themselves yet again,” stated Mayor Nieves Riedel. “Thank you for ensuring true transparency with the city’s funding and remaining committed to maintaining the highest standards of integrity and accuracy,” she added.
The ACFR is judged by an impartial panel to make sure that the city meets the highest standards of the program, which includes demonstrating a constructive “spirit of full disclosure” to communicate the City of San Luis’ financial story and motivate residents to read the ACFR which is posted at https://www.sanluisaz.gov/DocumentCenter/View/11158/Fiscal-Year-2022-ACFR-.
